“Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.” – Charlie Brown

In addition to donating “Holiday Hugs” to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin – Fox Valley, our staff wanted to do a little something extra for the children at the hospital. We organized a fun night for staff to make fleece tie blankets to donate to Project Linus.
Project Linus is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets made by volunteer “blanketeers”. As Charles Schulz’s Linus character from the PEANUTS® comic strip was comforted by his blanket, Project Linus strives to do the same and more for children. Project Linus was created from a unique story about a little girl who had been going through intensive chemotherapy and stated that her security blanket helped her get through the treatments.
In just a few hours, our staff was able to make 18 blankets! All in all, we were able to donate 24 blankets all made by staff!
